Los Angeles LASIK Surgery

Serving Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Surrounding Areas

LASIK, or laser in-situ keratomileusis, has become the most desired eye procedure in the country. After years of research and technology development, Khanna Institute of LASIK brings the most modern LASIK techniques to the people of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Santa Montica, Santa Barbara and Ventura. “At the Khanna Institute of LASIK, we believe that even the best eye surgeons still need the best equipment. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality service on the most advanced laser equipment available.” - Rajesh Khanna, M.D.

Khanna Institute of LASIK is proud to offer completely custom LASIK. Using amazing Wavefront technology, Dr. Khanna is able to create a detailed, three-dimensional picture of your cornea and use this unique information to customize your procedure for unparalleled accuracy and optimal results. Dr. Khanna is Lasik surgery certified on NIDEK, LADAR, and VISX Excimer Laser systems. Dr. Khanna prefers the VISX laser system.

What Is Custom LASIK? LASIK Technology Dr. Khanna offers Los Angeles residents only the latest LASIK technology. Our state-of-the-art laser is so incredibly precise and predictable, allowing for the removal of 39-millionths of an inch of tissue in 12-billionths of a second!

An Outpatient Procedure The procedure begins with very effective topical anesthetic drops to numb and dilate your eyes. You will be awake and alert during the procedure. For the first surgical step, the doctor uses a special microkeratome, which Dr. Khanna prefers to using Intralase, to separate a precisely calculated top layer of the cornea from the front of the eye. This corneal flap is then folded back to one side while remaining attached during the procedure. Next, the excimer laser delivers a programmed number of pulses of cool ultraviolet light to reshape the cornea according to your individual correction. If you suffer from nearsightedness, Dr. Khanna will flatten the corneal surface slightly to correct the error. If you are farsighted, Dr. Khanna will flatten the cornea’s outer edge. If you are astigmatic, Dr. Khanna will flatten certain areas of the cornea in an elliptical pattern. After the laser has reshaped the cornea, the corneal flap is put back in place. The eye holds the flap in place naturally as it heals, and so no stitches are needed. This incredible laser surgery procedure takes only about 15 minutes per eye and its over before you know it!
