If you have ever wondered what life would be like without contact lenses or glasses, then you owe it to yourself to consider LASIK. The ideal LASIK patient is over 18 years of age, has healthy corneas and a relatively stable prescription. On the day that you have LASIK, you should relax. The procedure is relatively quick and will be over before you know it. Following the procedure, we ask that patients get a ride home and spend the next few hours with their eyes closed, preferably sleeping. Many patients will experience significantly improved vision immediately. Protective glasses are provided to wear during sleep for a short time and drops are given to aid the healing process and to increase your comfort level.
